A shrouded redwood forest biome that replaces the Tropics. Features dense forest terrain filled with towering redwoods, mushrooms, and creepy-crawlies. Unlike the vertical climbing of previous biomes, the Roots biome introduces a more horizontal navigation style through massive tree structures and fungal networks.

The crash landing area with relatively flat terrain designed for new players to learn game mechanics. Key resources: luggage/backpacks, campfire camps, rope cannon. Main hazards: toxic sea urchins scattered on beaches and slopes, toxic plants with purple/bright green markings, explosive spores (rare but extremely dangerous), unstable bridges (listen for creaking sounds).
